The right cover and class rating will depend on the intended use and location. Please see the rating and uses below to determine which manhole cover suits your application:

  • B Class – Pedestrian and Walkways (Light Duty)
  • C Class – Incidental Traffic (Medium Duty)
  • D Class – In Roads (Heavy Duty)
  • E Class – Highways (Heavy Duty)
Old-fashioned access covers made with concrete or corroded iron put workers at high risk of back, finger, hand and shoulder injuries due to poor design and heavy weights.

Terra Firma has effectively engineered manual handling risks out of lifting access covers by utilising a fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) in the production of our products, which are a fraction of the weight of traditional materials.

FRP PRODUCTS

Yes, you can. FRP can be cut onsite using an angle grinder or handheld circular saw with a diamond-tip blade.

Yes, TerraGrate FRP Moulded and Mini Mesh Grating has been tested and approved to Bushfire Attack Level 40 (BAL40) rating in NATA-certified facilities.

Absolutely! Terra Firma can tailor make a solution for most projects. Please contact us for more information.

Terra Firma is a wholly Australian owned and managed company. All of our products are locally warehoused, assembled and shipped. However, some of our component products are manufactured offshore. We have resellers across Australia.
